Well, 3 heroes need to be fairly self-managable, as they become the equivilent of Henchmen as far as control.
You're also short 1 player in those situations, so you're at a slight disadvantage as a 7 man team over an 8 man.

You cant use H+H to clear Dungeons as heroes disappear if you move on to next level (or you have to keep 2nd your account logged in and control it.)
H+H for grinding points is more viable, but id say that H/H with GWEN henchmen is sufficient for that.

I'd rather take 6 customizable heroes then 3 heroes and 4 henches that don't even have a full skill bar half the time.

What you need to do is a little thing called 'multiboxing'. Get a program like Synergy, maybe write an AutoHotKey script, and use it to control both instances of Guild Wars (even across computers).
I killed Urgoz 'solo' a few times before EOTN with the leetness that is multiboxing.

True.
Sometimes a warm body does help though.

Or he could just use an auto clicker. Just have the other acount keep spam clicking him in party window so he follows, AH YEEEEE.

Or... he could actively control all 8 skill sets from one computer.
Autofollow = fail, multiboxing = epic victory

Autofollow not necessarily a fail. For some people like myself, I'd prefer the simplicity of what auto follow has to offer. Controlling 8 skills can be a tall order in the heat of things sometimes.
I sometimes use the GWx2 program to interact between both my accounts, but it really taxes my processors. Does anyone with the newer multicore PC's run GWx2 with no probs?
After rereading this post, I just might dust off that 2nd acct. If I can use an autoclicker.

I run both accounts at the same time as I would hate repeating the same dungeon/area/mission/quest again. Having a wireless notebook with wireless keyboard+mouse helps.
When I am lazy, I did most places with just 3 heroes+3 henchies with one AFK character to soak up all the experience and leech off reputation.

My prob is that I don't have multiple PC's at my disposal. And GWx2 makes things a bit choppy with only a single core processor. So as I asked does anyone with a dual core run GWx2?
Sorry for turning this into a tech question, but it's still related to being able to run multiple heroes and accounts.

I have a dual core processor and a decent videocard (and 2 monitors), and still get choppy play sometimes when I use 2 GW instances.
If you have a dual core processor you can assign an instance per processor. Some single core processors from Intel have virtual cores and you can also assign instances. The main issue is not the processor but the videocard - choppy play is usually the result of low FPS. Drop the video settings down and assign instances/video devices if you can.

You'd think, given the awesomesauce that is heroes when compared to henchmen, and the sheer number of heroes a fully unlocked account has, that ANet would just allow one player character to cart along seven heroes.
I mean, what's the point of having 20+ heroes, with multiple "copies" of each if you can only ever run three at a time? Sure, there's the three necro build, or the double para/dervo build, but wouldn't it be nicer to be able to not hamstring your party with four characters who's skills you can't even see in a game that's billed itself with a fully customizable skill system? On top of the henchmen having lesser AI than heroes?
And with all the work that goes into equipping heores with items, runes and prestige armors, it would be nice to use more than three. Just my three cents!

Well then, let's see.
My first team is Sabway with myself as a Ursan Warrior (Eff you haters, I like the skill, lol )
The second account would be my Ranger set up as a BHA interrupter if I was able to "multibox". With a Signet Mes Hero, a RC Protomonk hero, and a WoH Hybrid Healer.

I've run 6 Heroes for a long time, here's the latest HM iteration -
1. Death/Curses Minion Bomber
2. Channel/Resto Nec
3. Communing/Resto Nec
4. Domination/Inspiration Rezmer
5. Stunning Striker or BHA Volley
6. Optional, depends on area and my toon's class. SS, Barrage, Warder, Blindbot, Cruel Spear, Motigon, Arcane Orders...whatever.
Because you're a man down (usually a healer) i run more defensive builds than a normal 8 man H/H party. As long as you can slot strong party-wide & spike healing, condition removal, hex removal, physical hate (weakness, cracked armor & blind) caster hate (daze &/or interrupts) and an infinite energy/adrenal engine into your build, you can steamroll through most of PvE.
I run 3 x GW on one PC with no dramas, just crank down the graphics on the second and third accounts. If i need to run two players (instead of logging one out and taking the Heroes), i'll usually gather agro with a Warrior then swap to a ranged class on the second account during battle.
